The Right-Click Menu

(Radio Management Client)

The Radio Management Client's Right-Click menu provides contextually sensitive tools for adding, editing, deleting, organizing, upgrading, and general maintenance of codeplug / template records and values, that are stored within the RM Server database.

Highlight the desired RMC - record / row and then right-click for the menu.

This menu is only available from the RMC's Radio View

 

 

MENU SELECTIONS:

Radio Details

Ctrl+W

Launches the Radio Details Window for the currently-highlighted radio.

Delete

Del

Deletes the currently highlighted radio(s) from the Server database (see Delete Radios).

Select Group

Ctrl+Alt+G

Allows you to select a radio into a new group. (see Grouping Radios).

Edit Template

Ctrl+G

Launches the main CPS interface, where Template codeplug values can be viewed and edited (see Manage Templates).

Select Template

Ctrl+M

Launches the Select Template window where you may select a new Template to be applied to the currently-highlighted radio(s).

Discard Changes

Ctrl+L

Discards any recent changes made to the currently- highlighted radio. This is true for all Template-related changes and non-template-related data. However a Group change is not restored (see Grouping Radios).

Any pending features added via FLASHport will be permanently lost. The FLASHkey has already been decremented and cannot be reversed. Pending features added via Radio Licensing can be recovered via Settings.

 

DotYellow.png When a feature is added to a radio via Radio Licensing (see Register Radio Licenses),instead of via FLASHport, and then "Discard Changes" is selected prior to these FLASHcode changes being written to the radio, the "Restore" selection can be used (see Manage Radio Licenses) in order to change the Manage Radio License window's "Status" from "Registered" to "Ready for Activation".

Schedule Job

Ctrl+J

Launches the Schedule a Job window in order to create a new read or write programming job for the currently highlighted radio(s) (see Schedule a Job).

Cancel Job

Alt_Shift+J

Allows you to Cancel a Job for the currently highlighted radio (see Schedule a Job).

Import è Radios

Ctrl+I

Allows you to add a new radio entry to the RM Server database by importing a codeplug (.mc) file: See Adding Radios.

Export è Radios

Export èDVRS

Export è Grid to File

Ctrl+Shift+R

Ctrl+Shift+D

Ctrl+Shift+S

Allows you to export the currently highlighted radio(s) to a codeplug file (.MC) format (see Exporting Data).

Upgrade è Upgrade Firmware

 

Perform the following criteria to select one or more radios in the Radio View for the "Upgrade Firmware" process :

  • The selected radios must use the same template and have the same model number.

  • Scheduled jobs on the selected radios must be completed.

  • The firmware version for the FLASHport must not be lower than the version of the selected radios.

  • The CPS version must not be lower than the firmware version that the user used to upgrade the radio.

Allows you to Upgrade "Refresh" the firmware for the currently highlighted template (see also the current Firmware Version field).

Firmware upgrades will include upgrading the radio’s Secure Encryption Module’s firmware also known as "MACE" when needed (see Manage Firmware).

Writing new firmware to a radio is only possible with a "USB" / "Wired" job (see Schedule a Job and Device Programmer)

Programming firmware with offline / local jobs is not possible (see Manage Offline Jobs Window).

Upgrade è FLASHport Upgrade

 

Perform the following criteria to select one or more radios in the Radio View for the "FLASHport Upgrade" process :

  • The selected radios must use the same template and have the same model number.

  • Scheduled jobs on the selected radios must be completed.

  • The firmware version for the FLASHport must not be lower than the version of the selected radios.

  • The CPS version must not be lower than the firmware version that the user used to upgrade the radio.

  • The selected radios Model Number and FLASHcodes must match the Model Number and FLASHcodes in the FLASHkey.

Allows you to FLASHport Upgrade the Feature Set (System Options) for the currently highlighted template (see also the current FLASHcode field).

WFPrior.png The FLASHkey Upgrade Module must be attached to your system when making this selection.

WFForward.png Feature Set upgrades may also require a firmware upgrade (see "Uprgrade Firmware" just above, see also Manage Firmware).

Update Radio Data

 

Launches the Query / Update Radio Data window, which allows you to modify a radio's Owner Advanced Key Type and / or Owner ID, AND / OR enable or disable a radio's Write Protection (see Query/Update Radio Data).
